FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COREIO.net is OnlineNew online tool for Cleveland area real estate investorsCleveland, Ohio - September 2002 -- A new website came online over Memorial Day Weekend and is getting ready to send out its first newsletter over Labor Day Weekend. The site, http://www.COREIO.net, is designed to make buying, selling and trading real estate investment properties in Northeast Ohio just a little bit easier. It appeared quietly in May and with very little fanfare, but it is gradually gaining acceptance among the real estate investing community. COREIO.net, a free online resource for Cleveland- and Akron-based real estate services, recently unveiled its unique interactive online forum that unifies the Cleveland/Akron real estate investing community to provide a comprehensive information source for all of the area's real estate needs. COREIO.net's broad range of real estate related goods and services will include listings for Apartments, Single- and Multi-family Homes, For Sale By Owner and more.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The site is gaining momentum and will be sending out the first edition of its online newsletter (or "ezine") in September, 2002. The ezine will be a monthly feature that will be sent to members and non-members alike who have subscribed to the newsletter service on the COREIO.net website. Topics covered in the ezine will range from the local real estate market in general, property renovation, creative financing, investment strategies and local government programs to special interest topics suggested by COREIO.net members. Like the site itself, the newsletter aims to be "by investors, for investors." COREIO.net has set its sights pretty high - it is aiming to be "the" central resource that computer-savvy local Cleveland and Akron investors hit first when they need assistance or advice. The features that distinguish COREIO.net from the other real estate sites on the web are:
"I searched the web to find resources like COREIO.net but there weren't any," said Barbara Meyer, founder of COREIO.net. "I suppose the services that most closely matched what I was looking for were the local investor groups in the area. The problem I have with those is I can't find the time to make it to a meeting! I needed a networking resource that would come to me, and since I couldn't find one, I created it." Right now, COREIO.net is seeking input from the investor community to find out what features and benefits they'd like to see on the site. Since all of the services are provided at no cost to members, COREIO.net needs to maintain slow but steady growth. Unlike the many of the dot coms that have recently disappeared, COREIO.net is focusing on keeping overhead low and managing its growth responsibly. "I'd love to be able to provide investors with everything they need, right out of the gate," relates Meyer, "but for the time being I'm concentrating on providing them with what I think they need most - networking opportunities and information. Once we've grown a bit and have an advertising income which can sustain additional growth, we'll take a look at adding some of the whiz-bang features that some of the major real estate sites provide. Meanwhile, we're in this for the long term. This is a labor of love for me, something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I won't let it grow to fast to last. COREIO.net is my commitment to the community." COREIO.net gives members access to online discussion forum where they can ask questions, list properties and get to know each other. Members learn not just from the information posted on the site, but also from the experience of other local investors. The idea is to provide a link that allows open, easy communication with like-minded individuals in the local area. The result should be more efficient transfer of information and wealth to the member-community as a whole. The site is member-driven, which means the majority of the content comes directly from the members, not outside advertisers. All services are free to members - the only requirement is that they sign up for the discussion group, which is an extremely beneficial service all by itself. The site is supported by income from outside advertisers. Those advertisers are never given access to the membership list, only advertising space on the site and in the group's newsletter. Over time, Ms. Meyer intends to add features which will enable members to search by city or by county for a number of different properties, as well as find service providers to help them with their search, like brokers and online listing services. With their property found, users will be able to search through the site to find vendors who can secure financing or assist with the closing. Once the buyer closes on their property, users can return to the site to accomplish a myriad of activities related to their new property including finding contractors, connecting utilities, painting walls, refinishing floors, etc. With a simple click of the mouse, the member unlocks the wealth of qualified services that COREIO.net has to offer. Cleveland Ohio Real Estate Investors Online .Network was founded by Barbara Meyer of Independence, Ohio. Ms. Meyer has been a real estate investor for 11 years and has worked in the local technology industry since 1990. She brings both an avid enthusiasm for real estate and technical know-how to the new website. She's also an experienced entrepreneur, having successfully owned and operated Software Simplified (www.softwaresimplified.com) since 1994.
